Fallen along the wayside. Can I pick up myself? I understand I've lost the fight. I see you so clearly now. But you can't see a thing. You make sense out of misplaced dreams. Arranging pieces to a picture you can bear. And you say. "Just take me away from here." And you pray. That someone would hear you call. Fallen along the wayside. Can I pick up myself? I understand I've lost the fight. I see the pain behind the lies. You long to run away. Caught in-between the dark and light. Well it can't stay like this forever. Stay like this forever. Make believe in what you see. So you don't feel alone. You find your way in the hiding place. Where fear and doubt take what you had thought you'd gained. And you say. "Oh just take me away from here." And you pray. That someone would hear you call. Fallen along the wayside. Can I pick up myself? I understand I've lost the fight. I see the pain behind the lies. You long to run away. Caught in-between the dark and light. Well it can't stay like this forever. Stay like this forever.

The Way 05:17
I'll speak my mind, one last time. And make new impressions in your eyes. Oh I am a foreigner in the land of your inspiration. And I cannot find the way. You call upon the morning light. And create the symphony inside. Oh I'll give the moment that you have been dreaming for a lifetime. And I will find the way. The way to where you are. Could it be I'm not that far tonight? Oh I have watched you move and every word draws me to you. I'll speak my mind, one last time. The way to where you are. Could it be I'm not that far tonight? Oh I have watched you move and every word draws me to you. So far the space between just doesn't seem like it's so far at all. I'll stand and come what may, I'm here to stay. And I will find the way. The way.

Alone 04:26
All that you are will never understand how you've made this incision. And forget the cost of making your own bed following your decisions. And if truth be told I never lost myself. And if truth be told I wasn't here at all. Oh just find a way to make me understand. Or just leave me here again. I don't wanna be everything you need. I just wanna know how you walked away, everyday. I don't care if you take me there. You say nothing's wrong. But darling you look so alone. Open your eyes and see what you've become. A nightmare unending. Oh you call, call, call. Just to breathe again. Just to see yourself. In a different light.

The Way Back 03:50

about

The Way - EP is my first step in my pursuit of music not only as a career, but as a way of life. This EP contains songs that are a direct result of major events in my life and are a testimony to how far I have come. Music isn't just an escape or passion to me. It is my saving grace. It is the one thing I can give to this world and hope to inspire, help, or just encourage someone. It is my hope that you all enjoy this album and I thank each and every one of you for supporting me. Without you, there is no me. Thank you.

about

Andrew Kennedy Springfield, Missouri

Music is the only thing that has ever made sense to me. From the moment I picked up a guitar and played my first chord eight years ago, I knew writing songs was something I wanted to do. Something I needed to do. So here I am. Traveling through this whirlwind of a life. Writing my story. Come along and join me on this ride. Let's see how it ends. ... more
